Corporate Positions
International Pricing Specialist
Hours: Full time, Salaried Position (40 hours/week), 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday
Salary: TBD based on level of experience in the industry

As an International Pricing Specialist, you will work closely with our dynamic team of professionals dedicated to providing competitive pricing, top-notch customer service, and operational excellence. You will interface directly with both Platinum sales and international operations teams, as well as Platinum’s agent network, to secure global business by providing timely and accurate air and ocean freight pricing. You will be responsible for handling spot quote activity, managing rate data, and ensuring pricing consistency across a variety of trade lanes and customers.
Customer service and attention to detail are essential to success in this position. You must be able to handle a variety of recurring tasks, special projects, and provide superior customer service in a fast-paced setting. We are growing and looking for smart, motivated individuals who take ownership of their positions and will do “whatever it takes” to contribute to an experienced corporate operations team that will help drive the growth of our company.
Responsibilities
- Support Platinum Cargo’s corporate sales team, agent network, and direct customers with pricing for new opportunities as well as existing trade lanes
- Prepare and issue air and ocean freight spot quotations for import and export shipments
- Negotiate, review, and manage carrier and vendor rate agreements across global trade lanes
- Review pricing requests to ensure competitiveness while protecting margin targets
- Work closely with operations teams to validate routings, transit times, and service options
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of global service offerings to help price integrated logistics solutions
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in international freight forwarding pricing and procurement
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret transportation tariffs for all modes of transport
- Hazmat Certified (IATA DG preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and support as needed
- Dependable, reliable, and willing to work flexible hours to meet customer needs
- Competent math skills using units of currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and other web-based applications
